Vekta Group was pleased to be working with a confidential client on a variety of scope items for the upcoming Scotwind leasing rounds for offshore wind. The primary scope of work for Vekta Group has been offshore wind concept modelling and design support for various Scotwind zones.
Scope of work included various core activities depending on the client needs:
- Capex and Opex modelling for Scotwind development zones
- Concept design engineering and site layouts
- Development of concept construction programmes and costs
- Review of the onshore substation connection opportunities and grid constraints
Scotwind new leasing rounds are ongoing for the foreseeable future, each with differing timescales, but Vekta Group is working to support clients within the current government programme and beyond once new leases are awarded. Vekta Group’s ongoing work is being led by Charles Balderston and Ian Johnson.
