Spearheaded by Hannah Jukes, our Geo-Spatial Data Team Lead, we had the privilege of hosting two exceptional students this summer.

Under the guidance of Supervisor Mark Lawson, one student investigated the potential of vertical farming—a system of food production in controlled, indoor environments that could revolutionize food security. This project focused on the economics, energy consumption, and the integration of vertical farming with renewable energy projects, offering a glimpse into the future of sustainable agriculture.
