EXAMPLE: Reporting to the Geospatial Engineering Team Lead and working closely with both the software and consultancy departments, the role will be accountable for the delivery of a variety of services within the business which cover responsibilities from GIS and data pipeline development to the mapping of renewable projects. The role will be Edinburgh based and may require some travel to sites within the UK and Europe.
Outline of Responsibilities:
- Mining and curating global GIS data relevant to renewable and other infrastructure projects
- Creating industry-standard project specific maps for both internal and external clients
- Implementing our data process pipeline from acquisition to presentation on the digital platforms through management of the postgreSQL database

- Improve our data capabilities by exploring alternative and automated data systems and pipelines
- Analyse and evaluate geospatial data to support the Team Lead with report writing of cable burial and impact assessments
- Work with our software team to help an agile, growing, and ambitious SME build tools and services which can be used on renewable projects globally
- Help create a mapping centre of excellence within the Geospatial Engineering Team and be part of a growing consultancy business
